Born in Val-David, Quebec, in
1972, Eve K. Tremblay lives in Montréal. She studied fine arts (majoring in
photography), literature
and theatre at New York’s Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre. She has
exhibited in the United States, Canada, France, Cuba, Switzerland and Germany.
Reality meshes with fiction in her photographic work, which draws on literary,
allegorical and other sources. At ORANGE she is showing photographs from the series Tales Without Grounds and Postures Scientifiques. These strongly
narrative images depict actors cast as scientists in a hydroponic growing
facility and at the Institut de biologie moléculaire des plantes in Strasbourg.
Plein sud, centre d'exposition en art actuel à Longueuil is also presenting Eve K. Tremblay's work from November 7 to December 17, 2006.
