Thérèse Chabot lives and works in Saint-Jean-Baptiste. After studying ceramics in Montréal, Alberta and Louisiana, she began teaching at Concordia University in 1983. Her work has been shown in Canada, Mexico, France, Italy, Scotland and the United States. It generally takes the form of an in situ installation made with dried flowers and sometimes includes performance and singing. The flowers, which she grows and dries herself, are arranged in geometric patterns inspired by French gardens and adapted to the particularities of each exhibition venue. Alluding to the cycle of life and death and sacred spaces, her art also relates to ritual, as seen in the garden- and cycle-themed installation created for ORANGE.

Thérèse Chabot is also presenting an installation at the Séminaire de Saint-Hyacinthe in the Fleurage exhibition.
