DEAN BALDWIN
Dean Baldwin was born in Brampton, Ontario in 1973 and now divides his time between Toronto and London, England. While studying visual arts at York University in Toronto and Concordia University in Montreal he became interested in North American consumer habits and began to document them in his work with acknowledged excess. Since the late 1990s his work has been exhibited mostly in Canada but also in Great Britain, Italy, the United States, Japan and Yugoslavia. At ORANGE, Baldwin presents a participative work that continues on in the line of his artistic project. On this occasion, he invites visitors to consume and thereby to consider their consumption habits and their social behaviour through the choices they make.
