Herbalist, author, and slam poet Anny Schneider familiarizes attendees with the history, gathering, processing, and use of several everyday medicinal and nutritional plants. Her talk will be preceded by a guided stroll through the garden to see some of the plants that will then be discussed during the presentation at Jardin Daniel A. Séguin’s Pavillon éco-responsable.

Anny Schneider was born in Alsace, France, and immigrated to Québec forty years ago. She is a senior herbalist-therapist, recognized as an expert on the plant world and on identification of wild medicinal flora in Québec. She has written five books on the therapeutic properties of plants, among them Plantes médicinales indigènes du Québec (2020) and La nouvelle pharmacie verte (2011). She is also a lecturer, slam poet, nature guide, regular guest on radio and community television, and columnist for several newspapers and magazines.
